Sandy Young & Jenna Engen

Sandy Young and her daughter, Jenna Engen, bring two generations of dance experience, choreography, and instruction to Young Dance Academy in Oak Creek. Sandy, the studio's owner and director, has led Young Dance since 1983, earning numerous regional and national choreography honors, national television and video recognition, and choreography credits for Summerfest, the Milwaukee Symphony, and the Milwaukee Bucks. Jenna grew up training at Young Dance before touring internationally for five years with The Young Americans, performing and teaching throughout the United States, Europe, the United Kingdom, and Japan. Since returning to Wisconsin in 2011, Jenna has continued teaching and choreographing at the studio her mother built, earning multiple awards for her competitive work. Together, Sandy and Jenna share a commitment to strong technique, creative expression, and helping dancers develop a lifelong appreciation for dance.
